If you’re into beer (which is why, of course, you would be reading this blog) and happen to live around South Florida, Davie’s Mack House has a couple of big events coming up you’re going to be pretty interested in.
Thursday, January 22nd is a tap takeover featuring Boynton Beach’s Due South Brewing. They will be there with brewery reps and a lengthy list of awesome beers on tap, including:
- Midnight Marauder Black IPA
- Southern Saison
- Sweater Weather (a Winter Warmer with gingerbread)
- Brett IPA (IPA brewed with brettanomyces)
- 88 Shilling Scottish Ale
The Mack House will also be tapping a few new beers brewed just for the event, including a Whiskey Oak version of their Downpour IPA. There may be others, and they sound quite good, but I have been sworn to secrecy…
This event starts at 7 PM.
Then on Saturday, January 24th, The Mack House is partnering with Natural Chai Farms in Davie for a pig roast. But this isn’t any ordinary pig roast…
A few months ago, during my interview with Mack House head brewer Justin Miles, I mentioned they had partnered with Natural Chai Farms. In addition to fruits, vegetables, and honey, the farm raises pigs using spent grain donated by Mack House. One of those pigs is being roasted on Saturday. It’s all-you-can-eat roasted pork and sides, but it will be limited to 50 people.
Tickets are $8 and are now on sale at The Mack House.
There’s definitely a lot going on in Davie. Hopefully I can make it all…
