Look who’s back!
The Broward-Palm Beach New Times Beerfest is returning to Esplanade Park in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale on Oct. 10th. Basically, it’s that giant park between the Museum of Science and Discovery and the New River. Last year’s event was a blast; I think this year will be a bit better.
Let’s see, who’s coming?
My good buds at Descarga will be there for the first time. I’ll see what they’re bringing.
Florida Avenue will be bringing their Grapefruit Gose, which is really worth a try.
Lauderale will be back and bring their C Porter coconut porter. I’m definitely interested in that, especially since Kyle does a great job at everything else he brews.
I’m really looking forward to meeting up with the recently-expanded Hollywood Organic Brewing, which just started bottling and distributing in South Florida. A notable brew they’re bringing is a pretty popular Mango IPA.
The always fantastic Orlando Brewing will be bringing their Red Rivertale Ale which I’m definitely looking forward to.
It will also be the first time at the beerfest for new brewers like Legacy Caribbean Craft Brewery, based in Opa-Locka and Ookapow. Legacy is coming with a Belgian Blonde brewed with bananas, strawberries, and peaches, while Ookapow is set to decimate drinkers with a 160 IBU DIPA. Its gonna get intense!
