Brew Review – Coffee Cider by Accomplice Brewery @accomplicecider

Yes, you read that right. No, it’s not a typo.

It takes a little bit to wrap your head around, but Accomplice Brewery in West Palm Beach really did just make a Coffee Cider (Cider, 5.8% ABV).

And to be honest, It works.

First of all, it’s sweet. Matt and Felonice (and Matt’s awesome beard) at Accomplice enjoy making their ciders dry and sharp, so it was nice to see they left a lot of the residual sugars in the base cider.

And added to that was cold brew coffee. Meaty, mellow cold brew coffee in an apple cider. It’s quite interesting, and any potential bitterness in the coffee is long gone. It’s just a light, rounded, beefy flavor that brings an extra tang to the apples.

Quite something. I definitely would drink it again, and I commend Matt and Felonice for taking a step outside normalcy for a very interesting flavor combination.

Totally not a typo.

Drink Florida Craft,

Dave
