Brew Review – Drift by First Magnitude @FMBrewing

And then there are beers where you taste them and the only thing that you can say is “Absolutely, perfectly, yes.”

Mostly because it’s just simple and easy and memorable.

That’s Drift (Brown Ale, 4.4% ABV, 16 IBU) from First Magnitude is like.

It’s just a good, clean, classic brown ale. English-style, of course, which means you get delightfully dark nutty notes mixed in with a solidly bready malt bill swimming with cocoa.

It’s a classic beer, expertly done, and well worthy of the 2018 GABF Gold Medal it earned. M

Much like the time-honored North Florida tradition of paddlin’ or tubin’ down a lazy (ice-cold) river, drinking Drift is a simple and smooth experience that needs to be done.

Florida perfection.
