It’s almost comical how many Florida breweries set up shop within former automotive repair garages. Think about it, there’s plenty of space, drainage has already been installed, and they have those wonderful bay doors to open up on cool days. Sometimes the garage also comes with a name that was a part of the community … Continue reading Brew Review – Harold’s St. Pete Style Pilsner by Pinellas Ale Works @PAWbeer
It’s always nice to meet the person behind the beer that you’re drinking. Not that the beer isn’t good, but you get that additional enjoyment out of knowing the background and purpose behind the beers that you’re enjoying. And so it was on a recent trip to St Petersburg I sat down with Dennis Decker, … Continue reading Brew Review – Pinellas Ale Works, June ’18 @pawbeer
Pinellas Ale Works is one of the newer breweries in the rapidly expanding St. Petersburg brewing scene. Situated in the shadow of Tropicana Field, PAW has quickly risen through the ranks with an emphasis on quality brews, culminating with a silver medal for their Milk Bone Stout and the 2017 Great American Beer Festival. It was a shame that I couldn’t stay (inside joke) for longer, but I did grab a few things for … Continue reading Brew Review – Coffee and Vanilla Bean Porter by Pinellas Ale Works @pawbeer
St. Petersburg is becoming the place to be for craft beer drinkers. Not only are there some long-time quality breweries there, but a big crop of new breweries have just shot up. Literally two blocks from 3 Daughters Brewing (literally, I walked one block north, then one block west) is Pinellas Ale Works.

It’s also about an hour away from his brewing facility in Brooksville, in slightly more upscale digs than … Continue reading Brewery Visit – Inoculum Ale Works Tap Room @InoculumAW
It is easy to find a brewery in St Petersburg. Heck, on my last trip, I ended up driving by a few that I had no idea existed. It is difficult however to find a brewery that goes above and beyond in its entertainment options to patrons. Yes, I am aware that every brewery is, … Continue reading Brewery Visit – Right Around the Corner
